Michelle Kennedy is the CEO and co-founder of Peanut an app to connect like minded women who happen to be mothers, facilitating conversations women want and need to have.
Launched in 2017, Peanut has become a prominent voice for modern motherhood. With a community of over 300,000 women, a host of plaudits from being celebrated by Apple at the WWDC conference, to the Today show naming it the “app to change your life”.
Michelle started her career as an M&A lawyer at leading international law firm Mishcon de Reya. She later joined dating app, Badoo, where she rose to the role of Deputy CEO. During her tenure at Badoo, Michelle was integral to the the launch of seminal millennial dating app Bumble.
Having had a number of mentors throughout her career Michelle would be a brilliant person to be mentored by – ‘I think with a mentor, you take the parts of them that you find most inspiring and try to channel that when you most need it. That might be having the tenacity to never give up (something I learnt from the founder of my previous company) or recognising the need to be yourself, even if everyone around you is different’.
